Last Day to Drop by Withdrawal to 12 Credits
Monday, October 25, 2021

THE LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW FROM A CLASS IS MONDAY, OCTOBER 25

REMEMBER:

This deadline applies to all classes - even if you haven't gotten grades back yet - even if you haven't taken a test yet!

Your instructor cannot override this deadline!  In order to withdraw from a class, you must remain registered for at least 12 credits

Don't forget to check your schedule on webreg after you attempt to withdraw - make sure it worked!

Questions?

  1. Is there any way I can add another class now so that I can withdraw from a class and still have 12 credits?
YES….but time is running out!!  There are some short, mini-classes that have not yet started, but space is very limited.  Connect with an Academic Advisor through Live Chat to see what’s available – it’s not possible to use WebReg to add a class at this time – only an academic advisor can manually override the system, which is why you need to reach out to us.  Don’t wait – come today!
  2. I won't get my test or paper back until after October 25 and my instructor said it would be OK to wait - can I wait till I know how I'm doing before I withdraw?
No - the last day to withdraw from a class with a "W" is October 25 –  Even if you haven't received any grades yet, you must decide whether or not to commit to the class.  Your instructor cannot grant an extension to the deadline.
  3. I'm a Nontraditional student, can I withdraw below 12 credits before March 26?
Yes - current non-traditional students are not required to carry 12 credits (although there is no refund), but your health insurer and financial aid or scholarship provider may still require 12 credits.  It's a good idea to check with them first!  October 25 is still the last day to withdraw from a class even for NT students.
